This is already our fourth Friday recap, friends. They say fourth times a charm. Time flies, doesn’t it?

For many of us, this is the start of a long weekend. Take some time to think about any unlearning you can muster. “On a long weekend, Boydy? Come on!” Yes, on a long weekend…

This week, we discussed the following:

Limits, Limitations & Metaphorical Ceilings. The key message I hope you took from this was to give everyone a fair shot. Do you put people in boxes? Do you assume certain people who look a certain way can or cannot do something? Unlearn that. Change your “thought habit” (i.e. bias) on this. Catch yourself and reframe. Just try it and see what happens.

Conflict & Confrontation. Remember that not all conflict is bad and not all confrontations are meant to harm. Changing the narrative around this is necessary if growth and change are the goal. This weekend, for many, will be filled with family. No, I don’t want you to pick a fight at the table with Uncle Fred. Rather, consider a past conflict or confrontation and reframe why it may have happened. Put yourself in your cousin’s shoes. Unlearn.
