Acceptance v Understanding

Acceptance is about moving forward. And learning valuable lessons along the way. It is always during our darkest times that any light will shine brightest.

I keep reminding myself that I need to work on skipping the understanding part. People and circumstances are different so I can’t dwell on trying to understand everybody and everything. And I’m considering my privilege – how different would this process be if I looked different? I continue to unlearn many things.
